We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His death on the cross; His resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His imminent return. (Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2, 14; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Galatians 4:4-5; Philippians 2:528)
We believe that man was created by and for God and that man was created in God's image. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-3; 4:17-19)
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross and that He was a perfect, atoning sacrifice. We believe that all who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death. (Acts 2:18-36; Romans 3:24-25; 1 Peter 2:24; Eph. 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit indwelling all believers, enabling and empowering the life and ministry of the believer. (John 16:8-11; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 3:6; Ephesians 1:13-14)
We believe in the Holy Ordinance of Baptism by immersion in water. It is to be participated in by believers and is a picture of death to sin, burial and resurrection with Him in newness of life. (Romans 6:3-7; Mark 1:10; Acts 8:38)
We believe in the Holy Ordinance of the Lord's Supper. We believe it is to be celebrated as a command of Jesus and that the elements of bread and wine, representing His Body and Blood, are divine symbols of His sacrifice for the souls of humanity. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 18:18; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
We believe in the power of prayer and believe that it is a command of Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7; Matthew 7:7)
